Cross-play between Steam and EGS will only be supported on un-modded official servers. The SDK & Workshop will still be available to Steam users the same as before. Modding and Community Content is still a vital component to the Killing Floor 2 experience and we have no intention of changing that for PC. How does this change modding and community content Steam? There are no changes to Steam specific systems like the Workshop, Marketplace, Inventory, Achievements, etc The only changes are utilizing Vivox for VOIP and EOS to give you access to the pool of EGS players.

How does this change the Steam PC experience? EOS is not the same as EGS, so while EOS is necessary for cross-platform play to be possible, all existing user accounts will be kept distinct in their ecosystems. What’s that?Įpic Online Services or EOS is a backend service that allows you to create platform-agnostic multiplayer lobbies that can be connected with different platforms like Steam and EGS. We understand that we will raise some questions so we would like to be upfront with some of the big ones. Additionally, for cross-play to function, we have leveraged the power of Epic’s Online Backend Services known as EOS into the PC version of the game as part of our matchmaking and server logic. To enable this functionality you may notice there will be updates in-game to our Invite UI and that we have migrated our VOIP systems to utilize Vivox so that voice chat is possible across platforms. To ensure that we don’t divide the PC player base, we’ve worked hard to enable cross-play and cross-invite between Steam and EGS versions of the game so that the entire PC community can play together. To that end, we’re happy to announce that Killing Floor 2 will be coming soon to the Epic Games Store. On 30 October 2020, standard retail physical copies for both editions of the game were announced through traditional brick and mortar retail stores.It’s been our goal from the outset that Killing Floor 2 can be played and shared with as many players across the globe. On 15 October 2020, it was announced that physical copies of an exclusive variant of the Deluxe Edition containing all the digital content and an exclusive physical passport would be released by Limited Run Games. On 8 September 2020, pre-orders for Stadia went live. It was also announced that a Deluxe Edition of the game would be released, which includes Deluxe Escalations, in-game items and suits as well as digital soundtracks for the trilogy. On 27 August 2020, digital-only pre-orders for the game launched for PlayStation, PC and Xbox players. This marks the first time a Hitman game was released for a Nintendo platform in almost 19 years the last game to be released was a port of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin for the GameCube in 2003. It will also be available on Nintendo Switch in the form of a cloud based game.

IO Interactive will self-publish the game when it releases on 20 January 2021 for Windows via Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and streaming service Stadia. Developers have said that the game will be “a lot more mature, serious and darker” than previous installments in the trilogy. The game was announced on 11 June 2020 at the PlayStation 5 reveal event. Unlike Hitman 2, there will be no multiplayer modes, with Sniper Assassin being purely single player, and Ghost Mode being removed entirely. The VR functionality will also retroactively apply to levels imported from the previous two entries. The game will feature PlayStation VR compatibility on the PlayStation 4 version, with support for PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility. Players who owned Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 (2018) will be able to import maps, levels and their progress into Hitman 3. The base game features six new locations, including Dubai, Dartmoor, Berlin, and Chongqing. In the game, 47 will travel to various locations and carry out contracted assassinations of criminal targets across the globe. Like its predecessors, Hitman 3 is a stealth game played from a third-person perspective and players once again assume control of assassin Agent 47. It is set to be released for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia (under the title Hitman: World of Assassination), and Nintendo Switch on 20 January 2021. The game will be the eighth main installment in the Hitman series and the third and final installment of the World of Assassination trilogy, following Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 (2018), in celebration of the series’ 20th anniversary. Hitman 3 is available now on Epic Games through stariz.pk (stylized as HITMAN III) is an upcoming stealth game developed and published by IO Interactive.
